Equipment Protection
Second Set Golf offers a robust equipment protection plan for renters. For an extra daily fee, rest assured you will be covered for any equipment damage less your deposit amount upon initial booking.
Second Set Golf's protection & claims process
Full coverage begins at $5/day which covers 100% of equipment replacement or repair costs beyond the first $200*. At the time of booking, a $200 security deposit will be authorized but not charged, covering late cancellations or protection deductible costs.
Safe usage notice
The best way to avoid having to file a claim with us is to ensure you are using the rented equipment in a safe manner only in accordance with how it was meant to be used.
Engaging in deliberately unsafe acts or illegal acts is a violation of our terms and may void all protections.
Make a cliam
If you do experience club damage, you may submit the damage through your account through the rental form. Regardless of their condition, we will have you return the equipment to the lender who can provide us with further details.
Document damage
Take photos and notes of the damage to the rental equipment. Be thorough in your documentation, capturing the extent of the damage from various angles. This will be important for claims purposes and to ensure that liability is determined properly. Any photos from your rental form will be used to help determine liability.
Liability
After liability is determined by Second Set Golf, you will be invoiced for the corresponding damage based on what protection option you chose. Part or all of your deposit will be used to cover damage.
Account status
We understand that accidental damage can happen even if you’re being respectful and careful. We only flag and restrict accounts if we find evidence of malicious damage, unsafe acts, illegal acts or repeated incidents.
Restrictions
Second Set Golf reserves the right to restrict or ban anyones account at any time. If your account is restricted, you’ll be given a reason via email and a chance to speak with a representative.
Claims liability
Depending on if you chose the optional daily protection at checkout or not, you’ll be assessed the below if a claim is made and approved. All renters are liable for the first $200 in damage regardless of protection option.
Please remember that daily protection covers damage but NOT loss of equipment. ONLY equipment that is returned will be covered.
