Payments
Paying for your rental through Second Set Golf is secure, fast, and easy. Our payment processor is Stripe, which allows for multiple payment methods, transaction receipts and robust privacy & security parameters.
How do I pay?
When you book a listing on the platform, the total amount including rental days and extra services will be reserved and processed through Stripe using either a credit card or other approved online payment form such as Apple Pay. Any off platform or otherwise unsanctioned transactions do NOT carry protection or any guarantees from Second Set Golf.
When do I pay?
Initial booking authorizes your payment and sends your booking request to the lender. You will only be charged once the lender accepts the booking terms. Payment, including total booked days, any extras & services will be charged immediately upon booking confirmation by the lender. You are free to cancel any booking for a full refund up to 24 hours before the rental start date & time. Please see out cancellation policy below for cancellations within 24 hours.
Cancellation policy
Our cancellation policy is a stepped schedule that remains the same for every rental. Please see below.
Over 24 hours
You can cancel a rental booking anytime up to 24 hours before your rental is set to begin for a full refund and without penalty.
Under 24 hours
For canceling within 24 hours of a rental booking up to 1 hour prior, you will be charged a $15 late cancellation fee deducted from your refund.
Within 1 hours
Any cancellations within 1 hour of rental start is not eligible for a refund. Please see our Terms of Service for more information.
What am I paying for?
Second Set Golf strives to make pricing as transparent as possible. Our competitors charge you for everything from distance traveled, bag weight, and even upgrading to better gear. These guys don’t shy away from making these surcharges profitable either, costing you more.
We think that’s wrong. Booking’s shouldn’t be surprising, aggravating, or hard to understand. That’s why we have static pricing for all base gear and add-on services. Our service fee only covers our cost of doing business, nothing more. We only make a profit on the platform fee deducted from the lenders earnings.
Variable prices:
Service fee: 4% of total (before tax)
Tax: Calculated at checkout (based on listing location)
Static Prices:
Rental price: $35/day
Protection fee (optional): $5/day
Valet delivery (optional): $15/each way
