You have options for how you get and return equipment, all of which prioritize safety & ease of access. Learn how flexible bookings can be and how you can craft yours to meet your needs & elevate your play.
Getting and returning equipment
Self service
Exactly what is sounds like. This option allows you to pick up and return clubs directly at the lender's predesignated location. Meet the lender at the location listed on your rental form with an ID for verification and something to take and upload images.
Valet delivery
The valet option is great to make the process even easier or if you are pressed for time. At booking, you will be given the option to select "valet at start", "valet at end", or both. Valet services are $15 each way and 100% of your payment goes to the lender. Valet services can be requested for each booking but must be approved by the lender. Look for the blue banner on the top left of listing tiles for valet eligible rentals.
Equipment exchange expectations & policies
Part of Second Set Golf’s mission is to facilitate a friction free exchange process; to do that, we’ve developed a rental agreement and some key policies that need to be followed.
Agreement
All users must respect dates, times, locations, and agreed upon equipment listed on the booking summary. Any attempt to change these parameters without a re-booking is against Second Set Golf policy and voids protections.
Identification
Both lender and renter must present identification at time of exchange (pickup & return). exchanges are not authorized to take place without both parties verifying ID.
Unsanctioned
Second Set Golf does not sanction nor is liable for any exchange (monetary or otherwise) not processed through the Second Set Golf platform at time of booking.
Tracking
Lenders may install tracking devices on their equipment (AirTags, GPS, etc). Lenders are required to notify renters of any tracking attached to equipment at initial exchange, however, renters may not remove, tamper with, or attempt to interfere with tracking devices.
Conduct
Renters agree to treat all equipment with the highest reasonable amount of care and consideration possible. Discovery of any misuse, illegal use, or violation of service terms will result in loss of protections or liability coverage.
Terms
All renters acknowledge and agree to the Second Set Golf terms of service by using the platform and engaging in exchanges. Please read these terms carefully for your responsibilities as a renter.
Late exchange window policy
Second Set Golf requires both parties to account for a 20 minute buffer time at each exchange before effectuating the late exchange policies below. While renters do “own” each full day of their booking regardless of the return time selected, excessively late returns could be subject to late fees if it disrupts the lender.
Lender
If the lender is more than 20 minutes late to initial exchange, you, the renter, could request a reschedule or cancellation & full refund. If a lender no-shows for a return exchange, please contact customer support immediately.
Renter
If you, the renter, are more than 20 minutes late to initial exchange, the lender may request a reschedule or execute a cancellation. Renters can request refunds in this scenario on a case by case basis.
Quick tip
To help avoid extra charges and last minute cancellations, it is prudent to always communicate with your lender regarding your estimated time of arrival.

Late fees
Late returns of 1 hour or more without express lender permission are subject to a $30 late fee to cover lender inconvenience regardless of booking type or services provided.
Claims
If equipment has not been returned by the end of the rental return day, the lender may submit a claim for equipment loss. Please visit our guide on “Gear Protection” for more details on our protection claims process.
Quick tip
Protection election does not protect renters from lost equipment or late fee charges. In the event of unreturned equipment, the renter remains liable for the full replacement value of all equipment regardless of their protection plan.
